WatchESPN: Women’s Hoops vs. Western Michigan

The Ball State women’s basketball team continues Mid-American Conference action at home Wednesday against Western Michigan at 7 p.m. in Worthen Arena.

The game is being produced by Ball State Sports Link and available via the WatchESPN app and ESPN3.

The Cardinals are 21-4 overall and 10-4 in the MAC entering the final two weeks of the season. The 21-4 mark through 25 games is the best in school history.

Ball State ranks 42nd nationally in the latest RPI and has scored 80-or-more points in 16 of its 25 games this season.

The broadcast, produced entirely by students, features junior Erinn Casey as the executive producer, with sophomore Luke Foster directing.

Junior Alex Thomas will handle the play-by-play, while freshman Ben Kane will provide color analysis. Freshman Olivia Jansen is the sideline reporter.

ESPN3 is ESPN’s live multi-screen sports network, a destination that delivers thousands of exclusive sports events annually.  It is accessible on computers, smartphones, tablets and streaming devices through WatchESPN and the ESPN app.

The network is currently available nationwide at no additional cost who receive their high-speed Internet connection or video subscription from an affiliated service provider.  It is also available at no cost to U.S. college students and U.S.-based military personnel via computers, smartphones and tablets connected to on-campus educational and on-base military broadband and Wi-Fi networks.

In addition to ESPN’s linear networks, DIRECTV customers with a broadband-enabled set top box will also be able to watch. Customers will not need to log in to access this content, as they will be automatically authenticated.

Wednesday’s broadcast will mark the fourth ESPN3 broadcast for Sports Link in 2018.  Following the Feb. 21 game, Sports Link returns to with men’s volleyball and softball broadcasts in April on the network.
